Electronics Projects Fair
December 24, 2009 - On Wednesday, 16th of December 2009, the IEEE AlexSB’s Electronics Projects Fair ’09 was held. It was on the first floor, Electrical Engineering Building, Faculty of Engineering that the students came to show their own projects.

The fair started at 10 am and lasted for 5 hours. Eight teams from the different courses managed to make it to the finals and got a chance to exhibit their projects. Six of these were from the Electronics Course, one from the AVR study group; the course and the study group were held by AlexSB in the summer of 2009. The last one was from the AVR course; this course represents our deal with an external entity.

All 8 projects were about new and modern trends dealing with everyone’s daily life. Two of these, were about smart irrigation systems, another two about smart houses, and the remaining 4 were about attendance systems.

The judges examined the projects carefully. The judges were Dr.Karim Gomaa, Dr.Amr Sherif(from Communications and Electronics section, Alexandria university) and Eng.Abdel Rahman Kamal (from Power section, Alexandria University) . The teams discussed their projects with their professors, shared their ideas and took benefit of their professors’ experiences. Projects were to be evaluated later on.

When the final ranking results are done, we will get to see these students again in their AWARD CEREMONY. Be sure to be there for them. By 3:00 pm, the fair had already come to its end, but nevertheless, the fair that grouped such talents and designs have certainly inspired everyone who came to visit the fair.
