IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is an organization for Students or Professionals in the field of Electrical Engineering. The IEEE has many student branches established throughout the world. A student branch is formed by a group of IEEE student members of a particular university. Student branches are strictly student-run and faculty-advised, but operate in accordance with IEEE bylaws and participate in IEEE-sponsored events. Our student branch, the Alexandria Student Branch engages in hands-on projects, courses, guest lectures, seminars, visits/field trips, SPACs, SPAVs and networking through the IEEE to meet other students, professionals, and organizations.

  • Browsing your site, I saw that some members have an e-mail address appearing as: name@ieee.org. How can I get my personal IEEE email alias?

IEEE e-mail Alias is one of IEEE members’ benefits that every IEEE member can enjoy.  To apply for your IEEE alias visit, http://eleccomm.ieee.org , follow the menu directions to the template and fill it in. It only takes about five minutes. You will be asked to provide your IEEE user name and password, go through the agreement page then, choose your email id and write your current used email address and done!

How it works: Now when someone will send you an e-mail to your ieee account the mail will be forwarded to your own email address, that you provided while registration.
