"ITW '09 is an open portal to a landscape of knowledge empowering our ability to keep up and interact with today's fast evolving world of technology." - IEEE Alex. SB Team
ITW '09 Goals
In cooperation with the Planetarium Science Center (PSC), IEEE Alexandria Student Branch is organizing the "Interact with Today's World" or simply ITW conference series.
The event will highlight some of today's and tomorrow's most significant topics in areas of Telecommunications, Microelectronics, Industrial Automation and more ... Also it will shed some light on personal/interpersonal (soft) skills development, which is key to the success of any organization/individual today. Through this event, we are planning to achieve the following set of goals:
- Reach out to a large audience including:
- Undergraduate-level university students specializing in EE or related fields.
- Fresh engineering graduates and young professionals aiming to get in touch with the industry's latest advancements.
- General attendance mainly consisting of university students simply interested in technology and/or soft skills development.
- Raise the level of technical awareness related to today's most significant areas of technology: Telecommunications, Microelectronics, Control & Industrial Automation and Power & Energy systems.
- Prepare students for the transition between university and the professional world.
- Promote the significance of soft skills investment for individuals and teams.
Our overall ambition is to surpass the thriving success of the preceding ITW episodes by building a larger, more advanced community of young/future engineers that strives altogether towards a brighter future.
